World Cancer Day is observed globally on 4th February to raise awareness about cancer, promote prevention, early detection, and encourage collective action to reduce the global cancer burden. In alignment with this objective, I.A. Ayurvedic Medical College organized an awareness program emphasizing the role of Ayurveda in cancer prevention, supportive care, and healthy lifestyle practices.

The event was hosted by Dr Barnali Das , Associate professor & Consultant of kayachikitsa Dept. and commenced with an invocation and inaugural address by the Principal of I.A. Ayurvedic Medical College Dr Rama Kanta Sharma , who emphasized the importance of integrative healthcare approaches in managing lifestyle disorders and non-communicable diseases like cancer. A detailed lecture on cancer and oits Ayurvedic perspective was presented by Dr. Anil Kr. Shrarma. The program successfully increased awareness among students regarding cancer prevention and the holistic role of Ayurveda. Participants gained valuable insights into adopting a healthy lifestyle and the importance of integrative approaches in cancer care.
