World AIDS Day 2025 was observed on 1st December 2025 at I.A. Ayurvedic Medical College, University of Science and Technology Meghalaya, with various awareness programmes.

Awareness Rally:
The faculties and students of IAMC, along with consultants and staff of UHAN, organised an awareness rally at 11:30 AM. The rally was inaugurated and addressed by Prof. (Dr.) Ramakanta Sharma, Principal of the college. It covered the university campus, starting from the college building.

Awareness Speech:
From 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, an awareness talk was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Anil Kr. Sarma, Advisor of IAMC. In his talk, Prof. Sarma highlighted the history of HIV detection, global prevention measures, and the current treatment protocols in detail.

The programme was attended by faculties, students, consultants, and staff of UHAN. The audience was welcomed by Prof. (Dr.) Dilip Kr. Goswami, Head, Agadatantra, who also recited two self-composed poems on HIV/AIDS. The event concluded with a vote of thanks offered by Dr. Goswami.
