The department provides both preventive and curative managements for various types of gynecological disorders along with comprehensive care during the various stages of pregnancy and childbirth to ensure the health of both mother and child.

1. Graduate and Specialist Training

  • Equip students to meet the healthcare needs of women and provide expert care in obstetrics and gynecology.

  • Explore and develop new Ayurvedic treatments and perspectives in the field of women’s health, particularly focusing on fetal medicine and reproductive health.

3. Advanced Therapeutic Approaches

  • Address immunological and infective pathologies in gynecology with Ayurvedic treatments, including methods like Yonipichu, Prakshalana, Varti, Dhoopana, and Abhyanga.

4. Pre-conceptional and Fetal Care

  • Emphasize pre-conceptional care, addressing male and female fertility, and developing treatment protocols for fetal pathologies.
  • Focus on communicating with the fetus through Yoga, Pranayama, and music therapy.

5. Treatment of Infertility and Pregnancy-Related Complications

  • Ayurvedic approach to infertility through purification methods (detoxification and cleansing therapies).
  • Manage recurrent abortions, early pregnancy loss, and compromised pregnancies, including those involving hypertension, diabetes, and asthma.

6. Puerperal and Postpartum Care

  • Traditional care (Soothika Paricharya) for rejuvenating mothers post-delivery.
  • Specialized care for perimenopausal women and cancer patients through Rasayana (rejuvenation) therapy.

7. Gynecological Health Management

1. Operation Theatres (O.T.)

2. Labor Room

  • Equipped with separate areas for Ante-Partum, Intra-Partum, and Post-Partum care.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation area is available for emergency care.
