Introduction

The Rachana sharir subject is one among the basic subjects in the first professional BAMS curriculum of Under graduation. This subject helps us to understand the study of normal body anatomy, clinical anatomy and also about human origin as stated in ayurvedic literature as well as modern anatomy. Complete dissection of cadaver in a systematic manner, histology etc forms the major part of the practical classes.

 

The total area occupied by the department is divided into separate areas for Faculty Cabins, Departmental library, Museum, Histology lab, Demonstration hall, Dissection hall, Emblaming room, Cadaver storage room.

Aims & Objectives

  1. To educate the students of UG with the help of human cadaver dissection.
  2. To deliver the lecture regarding structural details of human body by theory and practicals.
  3. To make the students well oriented with the applied and clinical relevant details of human body.

Vision and Mission

Vision:
To enlighten and explore the Ayurvedic concepts of Sharir Rachana in todayʹs modern science era. And also to learn modern knowledge to know anatomy in detail.

 

Mission:
To develop Sharir Rachana Department with respect to Embryology, Osteology, Myology, Arthrology, Micro Anatomy and applied aspects of Human Anatomy.
