Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)

Duration:

5 year & 6 month duration
(4 year & 6 month of the main course and 1 year internship).

Admission Eligibility:

Any Male or Female, 10+2 (PCB) passed with minimum 50% marks with NEET Qualified

Objectives

To build skilled researchers and practitioners of Ayurveda
To create global awareness in ancient principles of Ayurveda and its practices.
To organize extensive health camps, awareness programs and ensure participation of students to provide holistic Ayurvedic health care to the community.
To introduce and involve students in research activities and scientific presentations.
To provide extensive training for faculty in teaching and hospital management.
To work for the progression of Ayurvedic System.

Hospital Pharmacy Services: dispenses medicine as per prescriptions to OPD patients as well as for IPD patients.

Undergraduate Programs:

Our flagship program, the BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery), offers a comprehensive curriculum that covers the fundamentals of Ayurveda as prescribed by NCISM (National Commission for Indian System of Medicine). The course is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to practice Ayurveda and serve patients with compassion and professionalism.

Eligibility Criteria:

For General, Management, and Institutional Preference Candidates:

Educational Qualification: To be eligible for admission, candidates should have passed the PUC or 10+2 equivalent examination recognized by State or Central bodies with at least: 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) taken together (For SC/ST/OBC candidates, the minimum required percentage is 40% in PCB it is applicable for All India Quota students.
Admission: All admissions to BAMS seats will be done through NEET.
Age Criteria: The candidate should have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of admission.

For NRI / NRI Sponsored Candidates:

NRI and NRI-sponsored candidates should obtain an Eligibility Certificate from University of Science & Technology Meghalaya (USTM) before seeking admission.

Additionally, candidates should obtain clearance from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi, the Local Police Commissioner, and their respective foreign embassy.
