IA Ayurvedic Medical College Observed Anti-Ragging week

Meghalaya 18TH AUGUST 2025:

IA Ayurvedic Medical College, USTM Meghalaya observed Anti- Ragging week from 12th August to 18th August 2025 in accordance with the guidelines issued by UGC/AICTE/NCSIM.

The purpose of this observance was to spread awareness about the negative impact of ragging promotes a culture of respect and inclusion among students and reinforce the institution’s zero tolerance policy towards ragging.

Activities conducted

  1. Inaugural Address & Anti – Ragging Pledge: On 12th Aug 2025 at 12:00 PM in front of the Statue of Maharishi Charak in presence

The week began with an inaugural session led be Prof.(Dr) Rama Kanta Sharma, Principal  and Prof (Dr) Anil Kr Sharma advisor. IA Ayurvedic Medical College, USTM Meghalaya.

  1. Anti –Ragging Pledge: On 12th Aug 2025 at 12:00 PM in front of the Statue of Maharishi Charak in presence of students, faculty and staff took an Anti-Ragging Pledge, promising to uphold the values of dignity, respect and safety on campus.
  2. Slogan and Essay writing competition:

Creative competition were organized to engage students and allow them to express consequences.

For Essay Competition:

  • 1st prize – Miss. JINJIN JUGLI
  • 2nd prize- Miss. MUSKAN BEGUM
  • 3rd prize- Miss. SHAMIHA AJRA

For Slogan Competition:

  • 1st prize- Miss ANKITA R.K. ARYAN
  • 2nd prize- Mr. WALIUL MONDAL

All the winer are awarded with certificate.

  1. Reel Making

The students of IA Ayurvedic Medical College Prepared a reel demonstrating the psychological consequences of ragging. The reel received a positive response and effectively conveyed the message.

A session was conducted within campus law faculty Mr. Abdul Wadud Sk Assistant Professor School of Law, USTM, Meghalaya sharing experiences and how positive senior, junior relationships help to build a strong community.
