Today IA Ayurvedic Medical College & University Hospital of Ayurveda & Naturopathy, USTM launched the Netra Tarpana (eye disease therapy) in the campus with the official inauguration by Prof.Dr.Rama Kanta Sharma,Principal of IAMC in the presence of Prof.Dr.Anil Kumar Sharma, Advisor of IAMC and other dignitaries, Doctors, Students, Patients and Guests.
The main aim of the programme was to create Awareness about Ayurvedic Eye therapy “Netra Tarpana” its procedure,benefits, and its relevance in maintaining eye health,the event also includes an eye exercise like trataka and and eye yoga.The event also intended to give practical exposure to students and free benefit to the patients.
Participant:
Around 40 Patient were screen,examine and consult two weeks prior before the main programme but 22 patient were eligible for therapy.

Description of the event:
The programme began with welcome speech by Dr.Q.E Sutnga, Consultant & Assistant professor of Shalakya Department,IAMC,USTM then inaugurate done Prof.Dr.Rama Kanta Sharma,Principal of IAMC, He addressed the benefit of Netra tarpana and encourages everyone to take the therapy. Prof.Dr.Anil Kumar Sharma,Advisor of IAMC also explain about shad kriya kalpa and netra tarpana, main speech was done by Dr.Q.E.Sutnga Consultant & Assistant professor of Shalakya Department,IAMC,USTM which she explain briefly about the therapy,procedure step, indication, benefit, precautions, do and don’t,s as well as demonstrated the eye exercise and eye yoga and display of the video procedure. ribbon cutting is done before the procedure to the participant.

Participants were guided through complementary eye exercises and eye wellness tips, An interactive session followed where participants asked question regarding eye care and therapy.
Outcome of the programme:
- Participant gained awareness about the therapeutic importance on netra tarpana
- The practical demonstaration helped in understanding the clinical application.
- The programme encouraged the adoption of preventive and promotive eye care practices
Conclusion: The awareness programmes and Free health camp concluded successful in spreading knowledge about Ayurvedic eye care, eye therapy any eye exercise with vote of Thanks from Dr.Tuttumani Saiki,DMS of UHAN Hospital the parcipants expressed interest in such programmes.
