Ri-Bhoi, Meghalaya (7th May, 2026):
In observance of Mental Health Awareness Month, a Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme on “Study of Tagara and Brahmi in Insomnia” was successfully organized by IA Ayurvedic Medical College under the aegis of University of Science & Technology Meghalaya in collaboration with Himalaya Wellness Company
on 6 May 2026 at the Conference Hall, Academic Block-A.

The programme commenced from 12 Noon onwards and witnessed active participation from faculty members, students, and healthcare professionals. The session was delivered by Dr. Mriganka Mishra, who highlighted the therapeutic importance of the Ayurvedic herbs Tagara and Brahmi in the management of insomnia and mental well-being.
During the session, Dr. Mishra elaborated on the medicinal properties, clinical applications, and holistic benefits of these traditional Ayurvedic formulations in improving sleep quality and reducing stress-related disorders. The programme also emphasized the growing importance of mental health awareness and the role of Ayurveda in promoting a balanced and healthy lifestyle.

The CME programme concluded with an interactive discussion session, where participants engaged in meaningful exchanges on integrative approaches to mental healthcare and insomnia management.
