Ri-Bhoi, Meghalaya | 4th September, 2026:

The Department of Shalya Tantra, IA Ayurvedic Medical College, UHAN, USTM successfully organized a Free Ksharasutra Camp from 1st to 3rd September 2026 for patients suffering from Fistula-in-Ano (Bhagandara) and Pilonidal Sinus (Nadi Vrana).

A total of 14 patients (7 male and 7 female) were evaluated, including 13 cases of Fistula-in-Ano and 1 case of Pilonidal Sinus. Primary threading for Ksharasutra therapy was performed under local anaesthesia as clinically indicated.

The camp provided free specialized Ayurvedic surgical care to patients and valuable clinical exposure to students, reflecting IAMC’s commitment to accessible healthcare and academic excellence.
