This department primarily deals with the management of diseases affecting the entire body, including those related to the digestive system, respiratory system, cardiovascular system, nervous system, musculoskeletal system, and metabolic disorders. It encompasses Rasayana (rejuvenation therapy) and Vajikarana (aphrodisiac therapy) to promote longevity and enhance overall well-being.

 

Kaya Chikitsa provides a holistic approach to disease management by incorporating:

  • To understand the role of Agni (digestive fire), Ama (toxins), and Srotas (body channels) in disease progression.
  • To study the pathogenesis (Samprapti) and disease stages (Shatkriyakala) for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
