About Ibrahim Ali Ayurvedic Medical College (IAMC):

IA Ayurvedic Medical College is located in the USTM campus which is spread over an area of 300 acres in Ri-Bhoi District of Meghalaya having a lush green and serene environment. The Medical College is the first private Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital in North East India. We have a highly equipped Ayush Reseaech Unit to facilitate cutting edge research in the field of Ayurveda. The college is situated in the K-Block, South Zone of the Campus.

About University Hospital of Ayurveda & Naturopathy (UHAN):

Ayurveda is a science of life, which is more than an ancient science of healing. This ancient system of medicine has been around for more than 5000 years and helping people by contributing preventive and curative health care. The project is a constituent unit of University of Science & Technology Meghalaya (USTM) promoted by Education Research & Development Foundation. The Ayurvedic Medical College is going to be established with a hospital of Ayurveda and Naturopathy with the following objectives-

The College has attached fully functional 100 beds Ayurvedic Hospital, which is spread over area of more than 4 acre of land.

About the University:

The University of Science & Technology, Meghalaya (USTM) is the fastest growing State Private University in the entire North East India. Established under the provisions of the University of Science and Technology, Meghalaya Act(No.6 of 2008) enacted by Legislative Assembly of Meghalaya and notified vide Gazette Notification No: LL(B)87/2008/21, dated 02.12.2008 of Government of Meghalaya, USTM is empowered by the University Grants Commission to award degrees as specified by the UGC under section 22 of the UGCAct,1956. The University is nestled in a 400 acre of picturesque landscape surrounded by tranquil greenery in Assam‐Meghalaya border just 1 km from GS Road & 6 kms from Dispur, the Capital of Assam. The campus is only 32 kms from Guwahati International Airport.

 

USTM today has 43 courses both at UG and PG levels under eight Schools of studies with more than 5000 students, 250 faculties and more than 15% students belonging to underprivileged backward classes availing free education.

 

The university has received statutory approval from UGC, NCTE, AICTE, BCI and PCI as applicable and is a member of Association of Indian Universities and Association of Commonwealth Universities. USTM is recognized by the Meghalaya Private Universities Regulatory Board as the best private university in Meghalaya.
